Coupons Clippers: Making It Work For You
Coupons Clippers
Coupons clippers are people who want to save money on a variety of products or services. Some do the work of finding the coupons and clipping them, only to leave them at home or in their purse and never actually using them. However, many, many shoppers are saving $100 plus on their groceries on a regular basis. How? They have either used a tried and true method or just figured it out on their own. And necessity can cause you to dig harder especially when there are many mouths to feed and clothe on a very limited budget. To put it bluntly, many have to figure it out or just do without, plain and simple! Of course, there are people are not that budget pressed. But saving money with coupons is a wonderful endeavor. If you don't really need the savings, there are many who could be helped with your efforts, such as a neighbor, the local food bank, your church, etc.
Coupons power dates back to 1888 when a marketer offered free glasses of a beverage by giving away paper tickets. By 1965, fifty percent of USA families were using coupons. And by 2002 it is reported that USA consumers saved $3.8 billion by using coupons. Can you imagine what many consumers are saving today by using coupons?
Today with technology, consumers don't have to be coupon clippers. For example, some stores offer a loyalty card to their customers who will register for it. Then, the customer can select coupon offers through a company, such as RedPlum.com and actually load the coupons into the store's card. When the customer arrives at the cash register and has selected qualifying items, the discount is taken right there and then. This means no coupons to clip or physically bring to the store. Also, technology has enabled coupons to be sent directly to your mobile device.
Coupons Clippers Still Active
Even though technology has provided more ease in obtaining coupons, many consumers are still coupons clippers. Why? Coupons are delivered right to your mailbox via the postal service sometimes two or three times a week. Newspapers are loaded with them especially on Wednesdays and Sundays. Magazines have coupons in them all for the using. Many stores have in store coupons located above a certain product or sometimes as you enter the door via a store newspaper. Consumers can also go to websites and print off coupons. You can even sign up to get coupons sent to your inbox.
Inflation At Work
If you buy groceries on a regular basis, you see inflation at work. Who hasn't noticed groceries and many other products that are used on a daily basis getting higher and higher. And in many cases, the price is about the same but the product is smaller in size or quanity. There is mega help available by using coupons but many times they go into the trash and not used. Some people even complain about getting them in the mail for example. Let's face it, many people don't really know all the in's and out's to make coupon clipping really worth their time and effort.
